Following a recent ClearWELL installation for a major international operator, we were delighted to be invited back to survey an additional five wells at another one of their North Sea platforms. These wells were experiencing varying degrees of calcite scaling.

Our pre-installation site survey, simulation modelling and scaling analysis gives us a clear picture of what is happening in the downhole environment. Factors such as water chemistry, depth, pressure, temperature, viscosity, friction, turbulence and pipe architecture all play a role in the tendency towards scale formation.
