We recently reported on an offshore site survey for a major international operator, where we examined five North Sea wells and made recommendations for how ClearWELL™ technology could address their calcite scaling. This month, we were delighted to return to the platform, having been commissioned to carry out the installation. This is the second offshore project we have completed for this operator.

Our pre-installation site survey, simulation modelling and scaling analysis gives us a clear picture of what’s happening in the downhole environment. Factors such as water chemistry, depth, pressure, temperature, viscosity, friction, turbulence and pipe architecture all play a role in the tendency towards scale formation. Understanding these variables ensures that the ClearWELL™ treatment is highly effective from day one. We then monitor performance remotely and carry out regular health checks of the units, which remain in-situ over the long-term.
